First blogger talent agency for Australia launches with five leading mummy bloggers
The Remarkables Group – a dedicated talent agency for bloggers – launched today, heralding a first for the Australian marketing and social media landscapes.
The Remarkables Group opened its doors with five Remarkables – bloggers who are leading the way in Australian blogging. The agency will manage brand partnerships from start to finish to deliver remarkable results for both brands and the bloggers it represents. The team will coordinate briefing, approvals, payment and also evaluation, which is a key priority. There is no cost to brands to work with The Remarkables Group.
The first five Remarkables are: Mrs Woog – Woogsworld, Nikki Parkinson – Styling You, Eden Riley – Edenland, Sarah – A Beach Cottage and Beth – BabyMac.
The communities of the initial five Remarkables are predominantly mums (hence the term “mummy blogger”) and look to the bloggers for advice and product recommendations. The Remarkables blog about life with their families, but also their particular areas of interest, which span lifestyle, fashion, beauty, interiors, food and social commentary. More Remarkables will be added in coming months.
The Remarkables Group was founded by Lorraine Murphy, who has eight years of PR experience that spans Australia, the UK and Ireland. Her most recent role was with the PR team at Naked Communications Sydney. While at Naked, Lorraine’s approach helped her clients become some of the most respected brands in social media by Australian bloggers and their readers.
She recognised a need for a coordinator of blogger and brand relationships in Australia and is bringing her background in PR to assist brands in reaching their target audience by partnering with some of Australia’s most influential bloggers. The Remarkables Group can speak the brand’s language and knows the requirements of a great social media campaign.
Lorraine said: “The Remarkables offer a powerful channel for brands to get their message talked about by their target audience, in what is an increasingly cluttered media landscape. Mum is the main purchase decider in Australian families, so communicating to them is a top priority for many brands in the current marketing climate. It made sense to launch The Remarkables Group with five bloggers who are having thousands of conversations every day with Australian mums.”
“The Remarkables Group will be coordinating advertorial content on the bloggers’ blogs. We’re also keen to help Australian brands pioneer new ways to work with bloggers, based on the success in the US of blog ambassadorships and bloggers being featured as above the line talent.”
